Today saw the clip of Skunk Anansie. After a long silence the band, new song “My Ugly Boy” made me happy.

Skunk Anansie (or SA) are a worldwide multi-platinum selling English rock band whose members include Skin (Deborah Dyer), Cass (Richard Keith Lewis), Ace (Martin Ivor Kent) and Mark Richardson.

Skunk Anansie formed in March 1994, disbanded in 2001 and reformed in 2009. The name “Skunk Anansie” is taken after the West African folk tales of Anansi the spider-man, with “Skunk” added to “make the name nastier”. They are often grouped as part of a Britrock movement, running alongside Britpop.

In 2010 the band will release their first studio album after the reformation, in which their fourth studio album Wonderlustre was announced to be released internationally on 13 September with its first single being “My Ugly Boy” to be released in August.
